PrettyMuchSwiss for the City of Arborfield Mayor's Office

A plan for the reconstruction of the City of Arborfield; The way to a flourishing new city

Hello, I’m PrettyMuchSwiss and I’m running for the Mayoral position in the Special Elections in Arborfield. I would like to briefly explain why I’m ideal for this position as well as point out some of my plans and ideas for the wonderful city of Arborfield.

Who am I, why can you trust me?: I am a passionate member of the Firestone community, though I have, possibly until now, tended to remain more in the background and do my thing while observing. I think with the recent resignation of both the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor of Arborfield, this double resignation having set a clear sign, it is time for a new era of municipal government in Stapleton County.
I am currently a member of the Stapleton County Fire Department as a Senior Paramedic, where I actively contribute to general operations as well as the Public Information Office and the Training Division. I have previously founded licensed businesses and understand the importance of the private sector.
I strongly believe that the key to a successful and active Arborfield is its community, the development or construction of which will be my main goal.

Current state: Despite not wanting to go too deep into the negatives during my campaign, to properly bring my point across, I would like to say that I think the definitive current state of Arborfield and its government prove how little development there is left in the City. With both the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor resigning, reasoning that there is nothing to develop (which I will counter in my next category), and said resignations leading to a complete shutdown of the government of Arborfield, there could be no clearer message about what this city needs: a community.

My plans: The big picture idea is simple. I will coordinate with the public, linking it to both the government and businesses, institutions, and departments stationed locally to Arborfield to develop a blooming new city. Let me quickly compile a short list of ideas on how I want to achieve this:
Partner with already existing local businesses in new events

  • Support locally stationed and headquartered government departments such as the SCFD, the DOH, or the DOCM in various regards including public relation affairs.
  • Support new businesses and promote local property to be requested and distributed to said new businesses while closely working together with them in the future.
  • Host further events, partially in cooperation with other municipal governments, departments, or businesses.
  • Publish press releases and experiment with new ways of communicating with the public
  • Much more

This is not a complete list but rather a compilation of ideas that I would be implemented with a 100% guarantee if I was elected Mayor, and this compilation should also bring my principals closer to you.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my speech and wish you a good week.

Post any questions below or DM me under Ramen#2933 and I guarantee I will give you an answer.

any recent relevant experience?

Are you specifically referring to government experience? If so, I do not have any recent relevant experience. As a whole I find that my position in the SCFD, specifically also in the Public Information Office is quite relevant to my plans. Furthermore, my experience in founding and directing a business in Firestone has given me both a deeper insight into the private sector and how the Department of Commerce functions, and has also helped me gain experience in building something up, more or less from scratch, and communicating as well as coordinating. I think the traits which I have learned are very valuable.
Just as a note, I trust that you have seen the DM that I sent you which answered your question on my last speech.

I do not wish to get into an argument, but I personally think that government experience is not the only relevant type of experience important for this position. What Arborfield needs is not new or improved legislation, that’s not a priority anyways, but rather someone to be prepared to be active and interact with people. Innovative ideas and experience in how to execute such ideas is vital. In my personal opinion, I do not believe I’m lacking those things. Either way, I respect your decision and can somewhat understand concerns that may arise from my lack of government experience when it comes to lego game elections.

Although I am a candidate for Deputy Mayor for the City of Arborfield, I must say. Your speech was quite informative. If you had more government experience, I’m sure you’d get more support. My suggestion would be to start small rather than to just beginning with something as large as Mayor.

Support, you performed exceptionally well as a paramedic and family member of the SCFD.
