At FFA we are currently seeking ways to improve academy productivity as a whole and to increase the quantity and quality of recruits graduating and going into SCFD, DOH, etc. It is pretty clear that if you compare FFA to the likes of POST, we see far less graduates. Part of this will simply be that firestone is a more law enforcement centred game, so naturally more people are interested in being a cop than a firefighter or paramedic. That’s not to say there aren’t issues that we can resolve though. There’s things I’ve noticed since rejoining FFA administration that we are sorting out, but we want to hear from others what we can be doing. Survey follows:
Which option best describes you (choose one)
- Current FFA recruit
- Former FFA recruit (dropped out)
- Former FFA recruit (expelled)
- FFA certified
- Not FFA certified, do not want to be
- Not FFA certified, intend to apply in the future
- FFA Staff
- Former FFA staff
- Completed another fire academy (SCFA/FSFA)
- Other
