Please give the Firestone Parks Service a Quality-of-Life update

In the state of Firestone, the Firestone Park Service has statewide jurisdiction. However, we are often treated like a municipal department. If we are expected to function as a municipal department (considering we do have departmental jurisdiction) we should receive the same level of development support that other municipal law enforcement agencies receive.

Every municipal department has some form of adapted vehicle that can be attached to bikes, but this is rarely utilized.

Currently, the Firestone Park Service has only two vehicles in its fleet (three if you count the supervisor’s slick top variant), excluding our patrol vessels.

For comparison:

  • RPD has 2 marked vehicles for officers, including one bike variant, a K9 unit, and 2 supervisory vehicles, totalling 6 vehicles, 3 more than what Parks has.
  • PDP has 1 marked vehicle for officers, including a bike variant, a K9 unit, and 3 supervisory vehicles, totalling 6 vehicles, 3 more than what Parks has.
  • APD has 2 marked vehicles for officers, one of which is a bike variant, a K9 unit, and 2 supervisory vehicles, again totalling 6 vehicles, 3 more than Parks has.

To reiterate, our jurisdiction covers the main park, all docks, piers, and waterways in the state of Firestone, the dam and its controls, the entire town of Hillview (including Scenic Road and the beach), FS HWY 98 and its surrounding roads, as well as Prominence and Redwood Parks and the campsite. We have statewide authority regarding these areas, yet we receive only half the development support that the Redwood Police Department receives, despite having five times the legal jurisdiction of their entire city.

It would be greatly beneficial for the Firestone Park Service to acquire a bike variant of the Ram Dually that we currently have. This is crucial because our entire jurisdiction has bike networks that connect to the park, the town of Hillview, the docks, and selected piers, some of which can only be accessed via the bike path.

We are not asking for much, just a quality-of-life update that we genuinely need. Please consider providing the Firestone Park Service with a vehicle that has a bike hitch.

support. It’s completely unfair how other departments within v2 are getting more than us despite our jurisdiction as a ranger. If we’re treated like a municipality, at least give us the same developer support.

I get in v3 that rangers will get a lot, but where are we NOW? Currently, we’re in v2 and if devs ignore the things happening v2 (Aka this) and only in v3. What will happen when we get to v3 when v2 won’t be really active considering the amount of developer prioritization that’s going towards a game that no one is playing right now?

Overall, this notice towards the development team is moreover a suggestion and not a threat. I want to show awareness towards this as it’s unfair to the rangers who are getting under-developed in a game that people are playing in compared to over-developed in a game people aren’t playing. I suggest the development team reassess their priorities to ensure v3’s opening won’t be a total bust.

When I’m on team as a ranger, I feel bored. Our jurisdiction is limited and it’s rare to see people in our state park. There’s nothing to do there besides fish. But people have realized that fishing takes away from the overall cops and robber gameplay this game has. I feel that with maybe a few more cars and at least knowing that the development team is aware of our existence, the FPS can thrive and can possibly be more “happy” or “enthusiastic” to be on county.

patrol area and jurisdiction were used interchangeably.

Note: Our patrol area is limited. We have statewide j/d. We are the firestone parks service after all.

Support! Also, add a FPS Crown Vic! If you look at our Discord, it’s definitely the most suggested idea!

Also FPS is #1 as of now for patrol time… just saying

I know that post was meant to be funny but I’m trying hard to be taken seriously here.

I feel like yall would benefit with some kinda small motorized vehicle such as a ATV or golf cart small enough to fit on the bike path but faster then some of the bicycles to catch up to them

We already got one a dev verison so it wouldnt be too much to change the lights to red and blues and slap some parks logos on it

honestly yes and i think the department release itself was very rushed. they should’ve made a larger state park if they wanted this in v2
