As most people find municipal governments useless, I’d like to see how people think this should be changed. Prominence currently is actually doing some nice hard work, I’d love to see what people think overall though.

Here is the problem loop of inferior governments:
Loop 1:
- State gives some power away to an inferior government
- Inferior government make laws
- Inferior government laws aren’t enforced because they aren’t properly publicized or have the same weight as state laws (criminal code, traffic code, etc)
- State government thinks a law doesn’t exist and overrides inferior legislation to make it state law
(Repeat here)
Loop 2:
- State gives some power away to inferior governments
- Inferior government takes advantage of their laws
- Inferior government gets abolished
- State decides to try again and establishes the inferior government again “because this time it will work”
(Repeat here)

honestly, and I mean no disrespect here, we rlly don’t need a county level gov or a municipal level government…
but we do so the state takes up most of everything where they don’t the county fills in leaving the municipal folks still with nothing…
also the whole patchy thing happened so some folks still have some left over sentiments from that

County purpose is purely to handle SCSO and SCFD
Municipalities have more purpose than the County. Unfortunately lots of the time the people are too inexperienced/inept to legislate regarding THEIR jurisdiction

Municipal is good for people who want to run for senate and representative and just want some kind of experience on their campaign.

Yes, Prominence is doing such a great job of completely violating ethical guidelines as well as refusing to establish basic floor and sessional guidelines. There is also currently not a consequential system for striking and expulsions nor are there proper guidelines for these consequential calibers. With this, the Councilmen of Prominence District Council are free to do as they please, whether that deteriorates public relations or not. Immaturity whilst on the floor during an active session is a major issue. Relevancy is also another massive issue that not only myself, but the entirety of the County Council has beared witness to. Thanks for your input, but it’s not truthful.

I’m not saying I support ANY insurgency or uprising against the Firestone government. But what I am saying is at least they’re doing SOMETHING cool. In fact, I 100% CONDEMN prominence city council for its ABHORRENT actions trying to CRUSH the democracy we hold so DEAR. idk what they did but tbh if its not too illegal then idk kinda cool ig at least they’re making some noise
