Office of Senator JamesDitomosso - Reponse to the State of the County

So what was the entire point of it? Defy the NG? Do what the NG can’t? What?

Not really sure, its not like they could enforce laws or anything, not considered LEO, was just a thing to get residents in the city involved with the government. Kinda Public Relation program I guess?

I would still like that please ^

I’m afraid you need to speak to your DA about it and he will relay the information to you.

Or you can DM me like you should’ve.

This is the most shitty solution I have seen to fix the county

The county already lacks power and they are doing pretty well, now your just gonna basically abolish it?

Yeah, no.

Typical senator and his county abolishment rethoric and propoganda.

Just quit trying to get rid of the county.

how is the “stapleton county” going to be a county with no government…?

Who says we need a county government? We only have 1 county and the state government practically has all the resources needed to cover our needs.

Frankly I strongly disagree with the County executives actions pleas for power as well as the negative vision of not only the State Executive but the State Legislature. I disagree with the points regarding the power they demand and as such I oppose them in the Senate. Just because I oppose the Counties pleas for power doesn’t mean they aren’t operating to the capacity that the County should. Just shutting people down because you disagree with them is something I’ll never support. This idea that the county has “Declared war” on the state is egregious at best and those citing that he made a militia what happened with said militia did they fight NG? Did they attack the Governor? Or did they operate within their legal capacity. IF they didn’t I don’t see why charges aren’t being filed. Frankly it’s massively disappointing for me to sit here and watch two extremes clash it out one who refuses to compromise and an opposition that says agree with us or you’ll be disbanded.

You must be saddly mistaken, but we are compromising

Only getting to this now and reading into this and found this gem:

“This of course we are talking about, would be the amendment to remove the county government from the state executive branch’s control. I personally would like to see separation in this area, due to us clearly being a ‘separate animal’”

I don’t know what your definition of “Compromise” is James but as far as I’m concerned compromise is finding a middle ground that both sides can attempt to agree on for the benefit of the State as a whole. Shutting an entire section of government down until you “Think they’re fit” to have their powers back is by no means a compromise.

And frankly it’s appalling that particular supporters of this have said they’re doing it and I quote “For the memes”

No, we are compromising as we speak. Please do not jump to assumptions without facts, Senator.

With all due respect I read your public release and your threat was removal of the county government and even now you’re pushing for a “Council” to run the county instead of the current county government. Are you going to claim that isn’t true?

That’s precisely not at all what I am doing. My bill is not a compromise. Nor have I once pushed for a “council” to run the county? I think you’re misunderstood and without the proper facts.
