Plans in Office:
I’m sure quite a few of you may have read my recent Senate candidacy speech - for those who have - I do plan to continue with the plans I outlined from that speech for my term in the House. These plans are:
To change how protests work, specifically the element of unlawful assembly. In the report created by Former Governor Float, it outlined that protest was rather limited, based on the Law Enforcement response to these protests - whilst it is necessary to protect those who are exercising their rights to free speech and protest from criminals who attack these citizens, it is also necessary to protect these people from arrests for unlawfully assembling. I plan to tackle this, by amending the Unlawful Assembly charge, to add a sub-section stating that only a supervisor may declare an Unlawful Assembly - this meaning that those who do want to exercise their rights to protest can do so without fearing arrest.
Additionally, I plan to change how bars work in the state. As outlined in my senate candidacy speech, I mentioned how it could possibly be abused by congressional members who are seeking re-election, in which it allows them to bar someone who may be opposing them and running against them. This must change, therefore I propose changing bars, to limit them to ensure that no bar can be voted upon during any election cycle.
This is just a basic outline of only a few plans I have for when I am in office.
Conclusion:
I want to thank you for reading this Candidacy speech, and I hope that I can count on your support in this election, and your vote!
Feel free to ask questions below and I will answer them as best as I can.
