I can agree. We frankly don’t have that many civil or criminal cases coming in-and hiring three judges for expungements is hilariously moronic

are you taking the piss? the judiciary is in borderline crisis

no, it isnt.
the only issue is expungements not getting done.
thats not an issue of a lack of manpower, thats an issue of judges being lazy.
if you take a look at the district dockets, everyones is pretty much empty aside from uncircuit’s.

This polls is wrong, Ogax should have a 10/10

i’m breaking impartiality here (and will recuse myself from any future proceedings involving you) but you have absolutely no idea what is going on inside the courts, and you are acting so hesitantly like you do. it is almost annoying tbh

and the comment about the judges being lazy is one of ignorance, they work incredibly hard in what is an uphill battle against endless expungements and other crap we have to put up with

i apologize that you have no idea what is going on in your own branch.
i am far more actively involved in the courts and the legal community than you are, float. you cant just show up for half a second per day to fulfill the bare minimum legal requirement of “activity” and then act as though you are all-knowing about the present operations of the branch.
have a wonderful evening.

Expungements are terrible. Few judges want to do them because they’re boring.
We can’t keep pawning the job off to new judges or new groups. They’re going to get bored and stop doing them too.
We need to be able to pass expungements based on merit (1-3 months crime free/error in law) and deny them if they don’t meet the criteria.
New judges are a temporary solution to a problem that’s going to continue to grow.

As someone who has insight into the judicial branch and sees what they do behind the scenes, I will firmly tell you that neither Float nor the Judicial Branch itself is inactive or lazy.
You have NO idea what goes on inside the branch, and you are ignorant if you think you do.
Very disappointed.

Also, if you think he is inactive, get off your ass and use your congressional power and influence to do something about it, but I guarantee you that that will be nayed harder than my DCJ confirmation.

I have that insight too, James. I have FOI chat access.
As for your second remark, like I already stated – he is doing the bare legal minimum. I can’t impeach someone who hasn’t violated the law, but that doesn’t mean that what he has done isn’t very underwhelming.

The Supreme Court has held that they will not be involved in impeachments. People have been impeached/expelled for bullshit reasons, and you know it.
If you have that FOI chat access, than you should see that he and the branch is most definitely not inactive or lazy.

I will be breaking impartiality here and recuse myself from any proceedings involving Skye_Jones.
As a District Court Justice for this state I find these claims to be hilarious, far-fetched, and simply unbelievable.
The Courts have been working to handle cases and expungements.
Like all humans, judges have lives too. If we were indeed lazy we wouldn’t even have cases set up.
For the attack on FIoat, the Chief Justice has been active in performing his duties, but not showing them publicly. He has the right not to make his actions public, and he’s exercising that right now.
Like James said, you can invoke your FOI access to see how active we are
This is one of the most ludicrous posts I have ever read.

uhh excuse me for one second, you know Float right? The head of the judicial branch. Float obviously knows more than you do about judicial operations. Our Justices also have lives and they are far on busy with court cases. Over the past 7 months that I’ve been as a JIT, the discord channels are filled with court cases and archived supreme court cases. They do the best they can to deal with these cases in a timely matter but they would appreciate the help of other experience individuals who know how to get the job done.
