Hello, I apologize for my late response as I was working on a paper. Very good questions, Mr. Mayor.

During your tenure as Mayor of Prominence, what accomplishments have you had? How have you changed the municipality while you were in office?

During my first tenure as Mayor, which I believe was either 2018 or 2019, our power was even more limited than the municipalities are now so I did the best I could by keeping the Council active and hosting in-game events. For my second term, my time was cut short due to my victory in the Gubernatorial election, but I was very involved with businesses during that term as I did ‘Business of the Week’ as well as attended business events, I as well kept the council active, and ensured I had someone to take over after I left for Governor. My final term was spent doing the same, working with businesses by re-introducing business of the week, opening a business advertisement section in the discord for prominence businesses, kept the council in check as it got a little reckless that term, and during that time I believe both the City of Aborfield & Redwood went MIA and inactive so I made it an upmost duty of mine to keep Prominence active, which I believe I effectively achieved.

As you know our struggles, how exactly will you be advocating for us? While you will be meeting us, it is evident that a lot of work needs to be done. Many County Executives have attempted to work with the municipalities within Firestone, but a lot of times, we are still seen as “useless”. How will you reach out to the state and the county regarding the lack of support for us? Because I want a County Executive who will be active, will stay true to their promises, devote a lot of time to repairing the county and municipalities, and take the time to listen to issues that are being presented.

As County Executive, my primary objective relating to municipalities is to ensure stability. Like I stated in my speech, municipal governments have some unfortunate restrictions to their individual authority, which I intend to help mitigate to the best of my ability. Municipal governments are indeed the most fundamental and tangible forms of government, thus making them more important than people often give them credit for. I feel that communicating with our municipalities is a vital part of ensuring that the voices of the county’s many citizens are heard, and that the necessary changes can be enacted in a way that is visible to the citizens. I plan to serve as a bridge between our municipal governments, and therefore their citizens, and county and state lawmakers. You, the municipal governments, are anything but “useless.” True, like I said before, your powers are fewer than those of the state and county governments; however, you are the most in touch with the citizens of the county and indeed the state. We rely on your work to ensure the state’s continued effectiveness and success, making the work you do some of the most important and sadly underappreciated.

As for the meetings specifically, I want to cover the issues your municipalities are encountering as they arise. I would be in an optimal position to lobby not only the county council, but also state lawmakers in order to achieve the needs and goals of each municipality. If there is a public safety concern, I can convey your needs to the requisite agencies and bodies to prompt quick action. If there is a need for statutory change, be it county or state level, I can communicate those needs to lawmakers in order to enact the appropriate changes.
