About Us: The Firestone Department of Health is responsible for the health and wellbeing of all citizens and tourists of Firestone. The Emergency Department provides acute, life saving care to anyone in need of it.
Job Description: Diagnose and treat patients with life-threatening illnesses, establishing effective patient care plans, and referring patients to the appropriate specialists in a high stress environment.
Departmental Hiring Requirements:
- No felony charges
- No more than two (2) misdemeanor charges
- No more than five (5) traffic infractions
- No charges against another person as defined by chapter 2 of the Firestone - Criminal Code
- Must not hold a Public Safety Blacklist
- Must not be blacklisted from the Firestone Department of Health
- Must have a decent employment record
- Valid EMT-P certification
About you:
- Applicants should understand medicine to a basic degree
- Applicants should be willing to learn advanced skills and techniques
- Applicant should hold team leadership abilities
- Applicant should have excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and oversee patient care
- Order appropriate testing
- Diagnose acute, life threatening, and non life threatening medical conditions
- Prescribe appropriate treatments
- Refer to specialists as indicated
- Maintain medical records
