About Us: The Firestone Department of Health is responsible for the health and wellbeing of all citizens and tourists of Firestone. The SCMS is responsible to provide emergency healthcare in the prehospital setting. There are advanced opportunities to join our rapid response unit or training staff. We offer the EMT-I course for any staff with an EMT-B to upgrade their license.
Job Description: Provide training for new EMS staff, as well as provide continued education for current staff.
Departmental Hiring Requirements:
- No felony arrests/convictions on active record
- No more than two (2) misdemeanor arrests/convictions on active record
- No more than five (5) traffic infractions on active record
- No arrests/convictions on active record for a crime against another person as defined by chapter 2 of the Firestone - Criminal Code
- Must not hold a Public Safety Blacklist
- Must not be blacklisted from the Firestone Department of Health
- Must have a decent employment record
- Must hold the certification of EMT-P

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate training of new EMS staff
- Supervise all instructors in the EMS training division
- Provide continued education training for all EMS staff
