Improved Gun Mechanics in V3

I’m surprised that very few people have brought this up, but its time to revamp our combat system and gun mechanics for V3. Our current firearms are extremely unrealistic in many ways. With how they are designed/scripted, it discourages tactical thinking, movement, and encourages unrealistic play such as 360 degree shooting, blind firing, and otherwise tactics which contradict the very basic concepts of gunfighting and principles of realism.

How do we fix it? To start off, all guns must be in first person mode in order to aim down sights and shoot. There must be recoil to discourage mass shootings. With taking out a firearm, there has to be a delay followed by an indicator, which shows that a weapon is about to be drawn (ex: movement of arms); 1 second for handguns and 2 seconds for long guns, then the actual raising of said firearm. That delay is to come before the physical action of firing. In terms of carrying on your person, you should only be allowed one long gun/two handguns at maximum. Any and all rifles should be visible on the front or back at all times. In real life, you cannot just conceal one and magically pull it out of nowhere, it has to be somewhere. Any additional weapons are to be stored in vehicles until swapping. With magazine count, that should be limited to a certain number. It should vary depending on gear. Ex: A plate carrier equals 4-5 extra mags. Last but not least, there needs to be realistic and different sounds depending on type of gun as not all are the same.

Suggestions above are all changes which are simple, but will go a long ways to improve one of the biggest game mechanics in existence. People may complain that those are Mayflower concepts, but they have always existed before that game’s creation.

I disagree, just go watch demolition ranch’s concealed carry video.

Our gun mechanics were legit almost the same as the prison life ones, and they still are very similar. At least our guns aren’t like lasers.

I don’t see a difference between our current guns and Prison Life guns, really.

I’m not a fan of forced first person and completely eliminating third person views. I think V3 should also have the “over shoulder” aiming mechanics, like in GTA.
