Illegal Firearms Act of 2022

Ms. Automationeer (for herself, Mr. AlexTheAviatorRBLX, Mr. DiazEdmundo, Mr. ADMIRAL_RICKY, Mr. iiVortex_RBLX, Mr. Hmmm_Poul, and Mr. Clonemep) introduced the following bill:


A BILL

To revise and improve the extant definition of Illegally Obtaining a Firearm.


         Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE

    This Act may be cited as the “Illegal Firearms Act of 2022”.


SEC 2. ENACTMENT

    This Bill shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.


SEC 3. SEVERABILITY

    Should any part of this Act be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.


SEC 4. ENFORCEMENT

    This Act shall be implemented by the Criminal Code Revision Act Manager and enforced by all Law Enforcement Officers and Courts of the State of Firestone.


SEC 5. DEFINITIONS

    For the purposes of this Act, the ‘Firestone Criminal Code’, as described by the Criminal Code Revision Act (R), shall be defined as: https://trello.com/b/EGN3OQzQ


SEC 6. REPEALMENTS

    This Act makes no repealments.


SEC 7. AMENDMENTS

    (a) Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended.

         (i) Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states: "(a) The act of illegally obtaining a firearm shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.

(a1) The act of Illegally Obtaining a Firearm shall be the act of purchasing a firearm from an unlicensed or illegal weapons dealer, and/or taking an illegal firearm from a storage unit, and/or through distribution from other players; any player that does not hold a proper license issued from the Firestone Firearms Commission, who obtains a firearm from any of the stated methods, shall also be guilty of this offence pursuant to the Uniformed Firearms Control Act or any further legislation that dictates the procedure of licensing dealers to lawfully sell firearms."

         (ii) Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state: "(a) The act of unlawfully possessing a firearm shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.

(a1) Unlawful possession of a firearm shall be the act of physically possessing and bearing a firearm in Stapleton County whilst not holding a license from the Firestone Firearms Commission or another appropriate body authorized under statute to provide licenses for the possession of firearms."

    (b) Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be further amended.

         (i) Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code is currently named “Illegally Obtaining a Firearm”.

         (ii) Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be renamed to “Unlawful Possession of a Firearm”.

    (c) The classification and jail time of Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be unamended and remain as is.
