I’m quite curious as to how devs (probably the founders who decide, idk) decide which departments get new things and priority for bug fixes. Lots of people (myself included) often complain that whatever department we in doesn’t get as many updates as other departments and there’s lots of people who seem to feel neglected by the devs, like FDOH for example who I believe are still waiting to get cones and a couple of other small things for SCMS. Is there even an order at all, or do developers just do things in a random order (excluding very important things like major bugs or security things)? Does it have something to do with how many people are in the department?
Essentially, I’m just wondering if there’s any specific factors that devs use to decide who gets cool new things or bug fixes. Would appreciate a reply from anyone on dev team
Hey, I am not sure what devs you’re talking about; the ones that currently are hired mostly/fully work on V3. We do chat about V2 related things, but does not mean we work on it, fix it and so on. There can be times though, where we may at work on a V2, like how Mr_CFrame worked on the SCFD’s pump system.
for v2 it’s most likely based on what the founders think would be most beneficial to the community. e.g. for businesses, those that are seen to be active will typically get dev support.
tbh SCFD has gotten so pissy about dev updates in the past that i think that nobody wants to give us updates anymore. i don’t mean for this to be a pity party or whatever but i’m just telling you what i think. in the past people have complained and begged and dmed founders a bunch of times asking for updates that they’re probably sick of it at this point. honestly i think it is what it is at this point but i think that DOH does deserve a few updates. the last major ones i can think of were that we got like one room added to the hospital and then we also got the SCMS stuff. /shrug
