Fire and EMS Protection Act of 2019
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE STATE LEGISLATURE HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
“Fire/EMS Personnel” refers to in the context of this bill a member of any recognized Fire or EMS service in the State of Firestone displaying their authority while in the performance of their duties.
“Obstruction of Fire/EMS Personnel” shall be defined as intentionally causing mischief or duress around Fire/EMS Personnel, preventing them from performing their duties.
Obstruction of Fire/EMS Personnel shall be a misdemeanor the first offense, punishable by one-hundred (100) to two-hundred (200) seconds in a state penitentiary. The second or higher offense will be a felony, punishable by one-hundred-fifty (150) to three-hundred (300) seconds in a state penitentiary.
“Failure to Comply with Fire/EMS Personnel” shall be defined as refusing to comply with Fire/EMS Personnel when they make a request for the safety of yourself, themselves, or others.
Failure to Comply with Fire/EMS Personnel shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of one-hundred (100) to two-hundred (200) dollars for the first three offenses, and shall be a misdemeanor punishable by sixty (60) to one-hundred-twenty (120) seconds in a state penitentiary for the fourth or higher offense.
“Recognizing Crimes against the Fire Department”(Recognizing Crimes against the Fire Department) shall be declared null and void.
This legislation shall go into effect immediately upon passing both chambers of Congress and being signed into law by the Governor.
