FDOT bus and Taxi

Hello, ladies and gentlemen of Firestone.

What would the community of Firestone like to see with these 2 vehicles? Currently, we have the issue of whenever someone runs the service, no one uses it. So if you have any suggestions, comments, concerns, etc. Please feel free to share here or in my dm’s on discord as we’re trying to improve those services.

How will the Department of Transportation ensure the safety of customers while riding with a taxi provider?

Currently any time a passenger enters the taxi. Doors are locked and the customer will tell the driver where to go. The only time the doors will be unlocked is when the destination is reached, the customer asks the car to stop and be let out, or if a LEO requests you step out. Otherwise, the car is secured with door locks.

there should be a call system like for signal outages so that when a taxi is in service they are able to see calls for them

people can make 911 calls and select roadside assistance and say they need a taxi to wherever and the taxi driver can attach themselves and respond like they do atm…

No offense to dot, but I founded it useless being taxi when I was in dot. It was so boring literally no one actually needs a taxi, they’ll rather use their own car or just sit and CD. I mean sure, you’ll get the occasional 1-2 people who are just actually requesting a taxi because they see you parked their being useless.

I always thought it would be a better idea for DoCM business to run taxi services instead of DoT

(Personal opinion)

If people are barely using the DOT taxi, what would make it any different for a DOCM business vehicle?

do more stuff with docm or businesses in specific, you can always offer taxis/bus rides to the respective business location :man_shrugging:
