Evidence Tampering

Hello, I been playing v2 recently and I noticed that lot of the new players run into money left behind by a shooter so they can collect (Money on the ground that isn’t protected by cones or anything). I believe that for new players (people who play for the first time and barely have any record) shouldn’t be arrested for it. I think it should be like a citation for the first time they do it. It’s kinda sad to see new players who barely have any records getting arrested for something they don’t even know about.

Any thoughts?

If they have 0 priors then I believe they should be only cited for doing so, if they have a prior however or a previous cite for collecting the money then yes they should be arrested.

Overall I support this idea!

Yeah its like that, like if you have 0 records and 0 citation you should only be given a 200-500 dollar citation. However, if you’re a everyday felon like me or someone then no warning just arrest.

I never knew this was a thing, until now. I’ve honestly never seen anyone get arrest for this reason, I don’t see it being a big problem in the county. But I do agree with what you’re saying.

Criminal Code 57 . Any individual who forges or fraudulently alters any document, record, or piece of evidence shall be charged with Evidence Tampering.

I feel like this doesn’t apply for picking up cash… Yes, it does mention piece of evidence but if it’s not under investigation it shouldn’t be a arrestable offense. And how is cash being used as evidence? Is it so they can see the location the individual was killed? If that’s the reason then place a cone down and not just use the cash as a marker. Overall I do agree that it is very overkill to arrest a civilian over this. Any employment is going to see this and think of it out of proportion. Law makers should find a way to amend this criminal code to keep civilian safe from getting their opportunity destroyed in Firestone.

It’s so the Intelligence Office can scan the money, and identify the shooter. It’s very useful when collecting evidence against criminals and their organizations.
