Does DPS have too much power?

Recently, many people have noticed that DPS has jeopardized the careers of more than one good officer for minor issues. All though occasionally officers do mess up and DPS action is needed, it seems the system is abused for the sole reason of getting people in trouble and causing issues among the community. I have also recently seen that Trooper Genner has been targeted for something he had, evidently, zero connection with. This just goes to show how the over abundance of power DPS has can cause major issues and create commotion within the community. I hope that others feel the same way, and see that, although and asset, DPS currently holds too much power to unjustly damage the careers of people who make simple and improvable mistakes.

Unfortunately I have to agree with silver here. There have been a few issues where I have had issues with officers and then I suddenly get swarmed with multiple DM’s from lots of people.
I only ever reply to the respective supervisor and I never wish for anyone to be fired.
I feel that the fact that DPS swarms you for information to fire those respective officers is disgusting and needs to be sorted. Reform of DPS maybe?

Dont want to shut down DPS, just lessen their power

Yeah Agreeing with Silver again. DPS does their job and they should continue it but the power they have to snap their fingers and have someone fired

of course this would be the only investigation request they’d archive…

How come the only investigation request that DPS archives would be their own and not the seven other memes in the investigation request list? Why not move to denied instead of archive?:thinking::thinking:

Sorry, you’re incorrect and have no clue what you’re talking about. DPS has not ruined the careers of any good officers under my administration, especially for minor issues.

It’s YOUR fault that you misinterpret pending cases as ones we have accepted, and it’s YOUR fault you misinterpret Fedora’s words as mine and my department’s. The only person who should be thought of as being able to make decisions on behalf of my department, is myself and my high command. Don’t start blaming us for having too much power.

You’re literally bringing up a point that a Trooper is being targeted for no reason. Is that supposed to defame us, is that supposed to be OUR fault? We can’t control who submits a form for an investigation. Again, you really have no clue what you are talking about, and you have personally lost my respect for making a thread with false information defacing my department.

They can’t.

So you do what’s fedora wants because you want to suck up to him? Four good operatives were almost fired yesterday because they got reported for a uniform violation

That response is actually pretty damn hilarious. We didn’t even punish those officers or take action against them, the case was DECLINED. Again, as stated twice earlier, you have no clue what you are talking about. You’re interpreting Fedora’s words as my department’s belief.

What I’m saying is entirely opinionated and reflects no facts, so calm yourself

Simply trying to see if people agree with my opinion
