Bring order to inferior governments. The inferior governments have been on some goofy shit recently, and the state legislature must act to curb these frankly corrupt, power-grab shenanigans.

How exactly do you plan to do this? Corruption is already plainly illegal and you have no control over the DOJ’s prosecutorial discretion (bar the fact that you are a prosecutor). While I don’t think its a bad idea, I’m failing to see exactly how the Senate could step in bar acting on impeachments presented by the house (the last thing we need more of)

Enact civil service protections. As we have seen with the Redwood Police chicanery, it is far too easy for departments to arbitrarily promote, hire, and otherwise action people leading to nepotism and unaccountability. There should be uniform standards for hiring, retention, and termination beyond the bare minimum that the FEA allows.

While I normally hate DPS and, as a department head they’re kind of a bitch to work with, they’ve basically already lobotomized the disciplinary authority of department leadership with their recent amendment to psd 9. I personally don’t enjoy being lobotomized, so how will you ensure that department heads still have the authority to maintain order within their department while outlawing any chicanery?

Reforming the IGA to better facilitate state intervention, limiting goobery like executives suspending councilors, etc.

Most of this is going to be regulations requiring standardized hiring and appeals processes, I have no desire to add additional barriers to discipline, just to prevent flagrant nepotism
