Introduction
Two years and 8 months. 8 full terms. Five different positions. One might say I have little to no life. I mean, who else would waste all of this time writing fake bills and executive orders? Hiring and firing administrative members and declaring County Emergencies? I mean, none of this matters. Eventually the sun will set on the State of Firestone, as it has on just about every other ro-nation to proceed it. Eventually, all of the hard work, the legislation, the promotions, the many minutes and hours logged patrolling the streets of Stapleton County, Firestone, will disappear in an instant. None of it will have any meaning, or any effect on us or on the world. Or will it?
Life is an intricate tapestry woven with the threads of existence and mortality. It is within the fragile bounds of mortality that the true essence of life finds its meaning. The awareness of our finite existence lends a profound depth to our experiences, urging us to embrace the fleeting moments and make them meaningful. Mortality is the silent companion that accompanies us on our journey, reminding us of the impermanence of all things. It is in the shadow of mortality that we ponder the significance of our actions, the purpose of our existence, and the legacy we leave behind. In acknowledging our mortality, we confront the paradox of life, wherein the inevitability of death paradoxically illuminates the beauty and urgency of living fully, with purpose and authenticity. Thus, it is in the interplay between life and mortality that the symphony of human existence unfolds, each note resonating with the eternal questions of our existence.
And with embracing the fleeting moments, making every second count, ultimately translates to our little de-facto country. See, whether you agree or not, whether you recognize it, the time we have all spent doing what we do here is ultimately us embracing every second. In a few years time, when this community is gone and the servers shut down for the final time, when state-announcements is longing for new announcements and bills sit on a docket, we’re all going to look back on this time and realize just what we’ve gained from it. The majority of us met online friends through this silly little lego game. We’ve made memories, committed war crimes, chased criminals, filled our hard drives with metal clips and gyazo images showing the start and end to our shift logs; of which, we will all do one final time, maybe without even realizing it. Maybe you wont look back on this time, too. Maybe you’ll forget it even happened. But theres no denying it did happen and theres no denying the good times and bonds and memories made on this platform.
Philosophical discussion aside for now, I hope you’re ready for the ride of your life, because I am about to blow your mind with my extraordinary qualifications and unparalleled experience. I am not just a candidate, I am a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I am a unicorn, a phoenix, and a dragon all rolled into one. I have the ability to teleport, to read minds, and to control the weather. I can speak every language known to man and some that are yet to be discovered. I am an expert in quantum physics, ancient history, and interpretive dance. I have climbed Mount Everest, swam the Mariana Trench, and walked on the sun.
In all seriousness, my name is Danger. Most known for being goofy, I’m also surprisingly experienced here. I joined this community in March of 2018; over five years ago. Officially I joined the County 28 months ago, and have since served 8 consecutive terms in various offices. Starting off as a County Councilman, I wrote legislation and amendments alongside my fellow legislators. Eventually I was confirmed as the County Chairman, and gained my first bit of governmental leadership. I led the county for almost a full year, before being elected to the Counties highest position, County Executive, four months ago. Ok well, TECHNICALLY I did one term prior to this, after Joshernaut resigned from the position, but that was only a half term so do we really count that? Either way, I’ve had the opportunity to serve with numerous great legal minds and under many County Executives, and overall, feel as if my time in the County and in politics has been very successful.
And now, seeing as my career in County politics is approaching its end, its time to embark on a new journey: Congress. We’re going to ignore that little House of Representatives stint a couple years back.
What are my plans? What do I hope to do? Wanna know the truth? I have no fucking clue. Being accustomed to the operations and state of the County Government, its easy for me to generate an agenda or things that require fixing. As for the state, completely new ballgame. So for my first term in the senate, I plan on doing the following:
- Spectating, and learning the ropes. Getting a more first hand feel at how the State government is functioning, what state its in, etcetera.
- Attending sessions, and providing my inputs on cabinet nominees or legislation. Remaining an active participant in the legislature.
- Taking things as they go: If I see something to fix, i’ll fix it. If theres an investigation to be had, why not do it?
Ok technically I do actually have one legislative plan for the term. I’ve been very vocal the past year about the states poor cooperation with the County. Passing bullshit restrictive laws and ignoring feedback or requests for change is all too common. Even discussions between myself and Former Governor SveetChloe fell through (though in all fairness thats more so a result of personal issues surrounding our legislator). Either way, my one and only legislative plan for this term is to actually write the County legislation I’ve been pushing for for so long.
