It has come apparent the criminal side of the game is facing challenges of making money, especially for new players, due to the high ratio of law enforcement to criminals combined with the addition of DHS and the lack of activity in the criminal community. This makes it almost impossible to rob anything due to every single cop in the server pulling up to one robbery because every other criminal is offline. Most of the criminals I talked to said that they quit due to the lack of content. To address this and enhance roleplay for both criminals and law enforcement, I have ideas which I think can be beneficial to both sides.
Idea 1:
There would have to be a minimum of 2 statewide units. Gun parts, such as gunpowder, magazines, and other components, could be purchased from illegal dealers scattered around the map. These dealers would have a limited stock of 2-4 items with a restock time of 20 minutes. Once a player purchases these items, they must transport them to illegal gun dealers, such as those at Paws or Skull Island. However, the crates would be visible on the player’s back, making it easier for law enforcement officers to identify smugglers. Additionally, K9 units would be able to detect these crates, adding another layer of challenge and giving some extra use to K9. The system would be tiered based on the type of gun being smuggled. For example, automatics like the AK47 or AK74u would sell for a higher price, while smaller firearms like the Makarov would sell for less. Criminals would be limited to carrying only two crates at a time. Law enforcement could patrol high-risk areas to intercept smugglers. It also allows for new criminal charges, such as smuggling, with appropriate jail times to reflect the severity of the crime.
Idea 2:
The addition of an FNG base near HV would serve as both a secondary operational location for the National Guard and a new robbery opportunity for criminals. Criminals would need to purchase essential tools, such as tablets to bypass security doors and crowbars to break open lockers. Criminals would raid the FNG base and use their tablet to hack through electronic locks. Once inside, they can use the crowbar to break open lockers containing valuable rewards, such as M4A1, G36C or other items like classified files which can be sold at the dirty money cleaner for some extra money. Advanced surveillance could play a role in tracking down criminals attempting to escape with stolen goods. The robbery should have a cooldown period of about 2-3 hours to prevent overuse and maintain that not every single criminal has an overpowered gun. If criminals can successfully pull of the heist, they would usually go to Rage in order to store it if they’re not going to use their guns. This could add more use to search warrants, which are rarely used. As well as an addition for purpose of FNG, due to them being on everyday and gives them some other stuff to do other than responding to regular crimes that Swat/FBI can take care of.
