So I noticed something while on-duty today as Department of Homeland Security.
Our cars lag to HELL.
Obviously our cars are going to lag sometimes, they always have probably always will.
But over the past few weeks I’ve seen the cars lag even more for me.
Now, something I have seen is that I lag with my car more in back streets with no cities around (aka feds to docks) than I do in cities. (in cities I lag very rarely). I brought this up with a Gyazo Gif in a department discord and got a response I never thought of.
It’s the hills/trees!
Why yes, that makes total sense. I only lag on back roads and highway, where there are tons of hills surrounding me, yet while I’m in cities with buildings all around me I get 0 lag whatsoever.
Before I show you examples and basically what I’m making this forum for, I don’t want to get civs all pissy saying they don’t lag. It’s because us LEO/Department workers have a lot of extra gear on their cars, especially SCFD. We all need good response times to situations, and our cars have all these extra add on’s like lights and sirens, interior moderations, all these different things, causing us to lag even more than civs.

in that last clip, I w as responding to shots fired at RW gas, this lag prevented me from having a high response time to the situation.

I want developers to look into this situation and try and fix either the hills or something around it that is making us lag.
I also want to let you know it’s not my end that is lagging, I run a some-what high end 2 monitor desktop that preforms other games well. I think its solely V2 with the lag on back roads, hills, and trees.
