Hello Folks,
As I have been an officer at the Department of Corrections for a few months now, I notice that having to go inside to the cell block to check on the inmates and preform headcounts while also taking responsibility to make sure nobody blows through the checkpoint is quite hard. As an officer, I am not able to see everything that goes on both outside and inside the prison at all times.
After thinking about how to solve the issue, I have found out a fix involving the prison camera system. Yes, there is currently one in the prison but it is pretty far inside. The checkpoint shack that sits outside the prison only currently has controls for the in and out gates, but it has a lot of room. I propose adding an area to view the cameras inside the shack so that officers are able to keep eyes on the prisoners while also been able to respond to issues that arise at the checkpoint.
Please ask any questions and I thank you for any support given.
