Authorization of a Referendum for Constitutional Revisions Act

AN ACT to Authorize a Referendum to Revise the Constitution and resolve problems thereof.

PREAMBLE
To ask for the opinion of the public, whose voice must take the priority for all matters, as to whether or not the Congress should revise the Constitution and solve its present problems.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SEC. 1.

(a) This act may be cited as the “Authorization of a Referendum for Constitutional Revisions Act” for short.

(b) This act shall go into effect immediately upon passage.

SEC. 2.

(a) There shall be a referendum, for the purpose of deciding whether or not the State of Firestone Constitution shall be revised by Congress, to resolve its present problems, which have obstructed government processes, and have prevented the people from taking charge.

(b) The referendum, consisting of one question, shall be held to the responsibility of the Governor, and it must be held within thirty days of the passage of this act, and it shall be open for voting for at least twenty four hours.

(c) All Citizens of the State of Firestone shall be eligible to vote in this referendum.

SEC. 3.

(a) The question of the referendum shall be as follows:
“Should the Congress work to revise the Constitution in order to resolve its current problems?”

(b) The possible answer choices of the referendum shall be as follows:

  1. Yes.
  2. No.
