Assault and Battery Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: The Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended

SECTION 1B: The Firestone Criminal Code shall be defined as: Firestone Criminal Code

SECTION 2: Chapter 2, §6 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended.

SECTION 2B: Chapter 2, §6 of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states:

“(a) The act of assault shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within State of Firestone

(a1) Assault shall be the act of attempting to willfully and maliciously making physical contact with another person without their consent.”

SECTION 2C: Chapter 2, §6 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state:

“(a) The act of assault shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone

(a1) Assault shall be the act of maliciously attempting to cause bodily harm to another person without their consent.

SECTION 2D: Chapter 2, §6 of the Firestone Criminal Code citation value is currently 750.

SECTION 2E: Chapter 2, §6 of the Firestone Criminal Code citation value shall be amended to be 250.

SECTION 3: Chapter 2, §8 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended

SECTION 3B: Chapter 2, §8 of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states:

“(a) The act of battery shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.

(a1) Battery shall be the act of willfully and maliciously touching another person without their consent.”

SECTION 3C: Chapter 2, §8 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state:

“(a) The act of battery shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.

(a1) Battery shall be the act of willfully causing bodily harm; or applying offensive force to another person without their consent.

SECTION 3D: Chapter 2, §8 of the FIrestone Criminal Code citation value is currently 900.

SECTION 3E: Chapter 2, §8 of the Firestone Criminal Code citation value shall be amended to be 350

SECTION 4: Should any part of this legislation be stuck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.

SECTION 5: This bill shall go into immediate effect upon completion of the constitutional process required for constitutional amendments.
