An Extension to the Improved Impeachments Resolution of 2022 (R)

A Senate Resolution to Impeachment Proceedings


         Be it enacted by the Senate of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SECTION I: SEVERABILITY; EFFECTIVENESS

(a) If any part of this legislation is struck down by the Firestone Supreme Court this legislation shall be null and void.

SECTION II: DEFINITIONS

(a) Hereinafter, the “A Senate Resolution for Realistic Impeachment Trials” shall be defined as A Senate Resolution for Realistic Impeachment Trials

(b) Hereinafter, the “Senate Standing Rules” shall be defined as Senate Standing Rules.pdf - Google Drive

(c) Hereinafter, the “The Improved Impeachments Resolution of 2022” shall be defined as The Improved Impeachments Resolution of 2022.

SECTION III: DOCUMENTATION

(a) Section 3, subsection 1.2 of the “Senate Standing Rules” currently states, “Impeachments of any government official by the Senate shall have a set of rules for the trial as prescribed by “A Senate Resolution for Realistic Impeachment Trials” and should a “motion to proceed with irregular trial procedures” be called, seconded and pass with a simple majority, the impeachment shall then be handled as a normal bill”

(b) Section 3, subsection 1.2 of the “Senate Standing Rules” shall be amended to state, “Impeachments of any government official by the Senate shall have a set of rules for the trial as prescribed by “The Improved Impeachments Resolution of 2022” and should a “motion to proceed with irregular trial procedures” be called, seconded and pass with a super majority, the impeachment shall then be handled as a normal bill, except the accused shall have 24 hours to provide a statement to the Senate in their defense.”

(c) “A Senate Resolution for Realistic Impeachment Trials” shall be declared null and void.

SECTION IV: ENFORCEMENT

(a) This resolution shall only go into effect immediately upon passing the constitutionally required process to do.

(b) The legislative, executive, and judicial branches shall enforce this legislation upon passing.
