PREAMBLE: Whereas, this act gives the power to the Stapleton County Council to Bar individuals from the executive branches within our County, as they should have the power to do so.
By virtue of the County Charter of Stapleton County the Council hereby establishes that,
SECTION 1.
a. This Bill may be cited as “An Amendment to the County Bar Procedures”
SECTION 2,
a. Upon passage of this act, this Bill shall go into effect as an Ordinance of the Stapleton County Council upon the completion of the legally required processes.
SECTION 3.
a. The ‘Stapleton County Charter’ or ‘County Charter’ shall be defined as the file attached on “Trello"
SECTION 4.
a. Section V, subsection A of the Stapleton County Charter shall be amended.
b. Section V, subsection A of the Stapleton County Charter currently states:
The Stapleton County Council shall have the power to, with plausible reasoning and evidence, bar any
individual from serving within the Legislative branch of Stapleton County. The Stapleton County Council shall also be able to bar any individual from serving within any of the Legislative branches of any of the municipalities under the jurisdiction of Stapleton County. Such a bar must attain a super-majority (⅔) vote to pass, and shall not require a signature from the County Executive. The Stapleton County Council may alternatively nullify any active bar following a super-majority (⅔) vote.
c. Section V, subsection A of the Stapleton County Charter shall be amended to state:
