An Amendment to Settle the Air National Guard

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: A Bill to Establish the Air National Guard shall be amended.

SECTION 2: Section 3A of A Bill to Establish the Air National Guard currently states:

“[A] The Commanding Officer (“CO”) of FANG shall be held to the rank of Brigadier General and will be responsible for all day-by-day running of the FANG. The rank of Brigadier General in the FANG shall be considered a sub-cabinet position.”

Section 3A of A Bill to Establish the Air National Guard shall be amended to state:

“[A] The Commanding Officer (“CO”) of the Firestone Air National Guard shall be held to the rank of Colonel and will be responsible for all day-by-day running of the FANG.”

SECTION 3: Section 4C of A Bill to Establish the Air National Guard currently states:

“[C] The FANG, if emergent, may be deployed by the Commanding Officer for a plausible reason, for no more than twelve (12) hours. The Governor must be informed and may end the deployment if desired.”

Section 4C of A Bill to Establish the Air National Guard shall be amended to state:

“[C] The Firestone Air National Guard, if emergent, may be deployed by the Commanding Officer or the Major General of the Firestone National Guard for a plausible reason, for no more than twenty-four (24) hours. The Governor must be informed and may end the deployment if desired.”

SECTION 4: Should any clause, subclause, or other section of this legislation be declared null and void or unconstitutional, the remainder of the bill not declared null and void or unconstitutional shall remain in effect.

SECTION 5: Upon passing the required Constitutional procedure, this legislation shall be brought into law.
