An Amendment to Protect from Double Jeopardy


STATE OF FIRESTONE

September 5th, 2023


SECTION I: SEVERABILITY; EFFECTIVENESS

  1. This act shall be deemed effective once all conditions outlined by the constitution necessary for its passage are fulfilled properly.

SECTION II: AMENDMENT

  1. Article III, Section VII, subsection VII of the Firestone Constitution shall be established and shall state:

    “No person shall twice be put in jeopardy of criminal or civil liability for the same offense or wrong, except in cases where there is a mistrial, appellate reversal, or dismissal without prejudice.”
