An Amendment to Permit Tomfoolery on the Waters


Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SECTION I: TITLE

(a) This bill shall be known, and may be cited as “An Amendment to Permit Tomfoolery on the Waters”

SECTION II: DEFINITIONS

(a) The Firestone Criminal Code shall be defined here

(b) Reckless boating shall be defined here

SECTION III: AMENDMENT

(a) Chapter 7 of the Firestone Criminal Code, Section §1 Reckless Boating, Subsection a2 currently states, “The Firestone Coast Guard, Stapleton County Fire Department Search and Rescue, Firestone Park Service, and Firestone Department of Corrections Marine Division shall be exempt from Chapter 7, Section 1 if their emergency lights are activated.”

(a1) Chapter 7 of the Firestone Criminal Code, Section §1 Reckless Boating, Subsection a2 shall be amended to state, “**The Firestone Coast Guard, Stapleton County Fire Department Search and Rescue, Firestone Park Service, and Firestone Department of Corrections Marine Division shall be exempt from Subection a1 if their emergency lights are activated.”

(b) Chapter 7 of the Firestone Criminal Code, Section §1 Reckless Boating, Subsection a3 currently states, “An operator of a Watercraft shall be exempt from Chapter 7, Section 1 if a part of an approved event by the Firestone Park Service administration and the Firestone Park Service has made strenuous efforts to organize such event in advance and has taken precautions to ensure a safe and blocked off area from the public in which the event shall only be permitted to be within.”

(b1) Chapter 7 of the Firestone Criminal Code, Section §1 Reckless Boating, Subsection a3 shall be amended to state, “An operator of a Watercraft shall be exempt from Subsection a1 if a part of an approved event by the Firestone Park Service administration and the Firestone Park Service has made strenuous efforts to organize such event in advance and has taken precautions to ensure a safe and blocked off area from the public in which the event shall only be permitted to be within.”

(c) Chapter 7 of the Firestone Criminal Code, Section §1 Reckless Boating, Subsection a4 currently states, “An operator of a Watercraft shall be exempt from Chapter 7, Section 1 if they hold the rank of Meteorologist or higher in the Stapleton County Weather Service and tornadic weather is present in Stapleton County and tornado sirens are audible near a body of water.”

(c1) Chapter 7 of the Firestone Criminal Code, Section §1 Reckless Boating, Subsection a4 shall be amended to state, “An operator of a Watercraft shall be exempt from Subsection a1 if they hold the rank of Meteorologist or higher in the Stapleton County Weather Service and tornadic weather is present in Stapleton County and tornado sirens are audible near a body of water.”

SECTION IV: SEVERABILITY AND ENACTMENT

(a) Should any part of this bill be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.

(b) This bill shall be entered into effect as an Act of Congress immediately after completing the constitutionally required process.
