An Amendment to Permit the Addition of Motions

THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FIRESTONE DOES HEREBY ESTABLISH:

Section 1: It is the sense of the legislature that the motions provided by the constitution are inadequate in their scope.

Section 2: This document shall be regarded as an amendment to the constitution.

Section 3: This amendment shall take effect immediately upon attaining a supermajority vote in both chambers of the legislature.

Section 4: This document shall be regarded as “An Amendment to Permit the Addition of Motions”.

Section 5: Article I § IX shall be amended to state:
"(a) The congress shall be authorized to enact (by law, joint resolution, or resolution) motions for use in their proceedings. Until otherwise amended, altered, or deleted by law, joint resolution, or resolution the motions allowed to be recognized in a congressional session shall be: Congressional Motions.

(b) A resolution taking effect pursuant to subsection a of this section shall only affect the chamber in which the resolution was passed."
