A BILL

to Fix the Sub-Cabinet for SCFD

PREAMBLE: WHEREAS, The Deputy Chief is currently not considered a Sub-Cabinet, but the “Assistant Chief” is. This law will change the wording in the County Charter to allow the Deputy Chief to be considered a Sub-Cabinet of the County Executive.

By virtue of the County Charter of Stapleton County the Council hereby establishes that,

SECTION 1.

For short, this Bill may be cited as “An Amendment to Fix the Sub-Cabinet for SCFD”

SECTION 2,

Upon passage of this act, this Bill shall go into effect as an Ordinance of the Stapleton County Council upon the completion of the legally required processes.

SECTION 3.

a. The ‘Stapleton County Charter’ or ‘County Charter’ shall be defined as the file attached on “Trello"

SECTION 4.

a) Article I, Section V, subsection D of the Stapleton County Charter shall be amended.

b) Article I, Section V, subsection D of the Stapleton County Charter currently states:

“The Stapleton County Fire Chief shall appoint one (1) individual to serve as the Assistant Chief of the Stapleton County Fire Department. The Assistant Chief shall be a member of the Sub-Cabinet and shall be responsible for assisting the Chief with the management of the operations of the Stapleton County Fire Department.”

c) Article I, Section V, subsection D of the Stapleton County Charter shall be amended to state:

“The Stapleton County Fire Chief shall appoint one (1) individual to serve as the Deputy Chief of the Stapleton County Fire Department. The Deputy Chief shall be a member of the Sub-Cabinet and shall be responsible for assisting the Chief with the management of the operations of the Stapleton County Fire Department.”
