An Amendment to Fix the Statute of Limitations

AN AMENDMENT TO FIX THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1:A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations” shall be amended.

SECTION 2: Section 1A currently states, ““Statute of limitations” shall be defined as the set period after a crime(s), infraction(s), or other legal wrongdoing(s) has been committed, after the expiry of which no person shall be prosecuted for or litigated against in a court of law for the offense(s) committed.”

SECTION 3: Section 1A shall be amended to state, ““Statute of limitations” shall be defined as the set period after a crime(s), infraction(s), or other legal wrongdoing(s) has been committed, after the expiry of which no person shall be prosecuted for or litigated against in a court of law for the offense(s) committed. Once initial court proceedings have begun, the statute of limitations shall cease to apply, including during any appeals that may occur going forward.

SECTION 4: Upon passing the required Constitutional procedure, this legislation shall be brought into law.
