An Act to Tweak Trespassing Laws

BE IT ENACTED BY THIS CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Section I: Section 8, Chapter 3 of the Criminal Code shall be retitled to: “§8 - Government Trespassing”

Section II: Section 8, Chapter 3, sub-section (a) shall be amended to state “Government Trespassing shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense in the State of Firestone.”

Section III: Section 8, Chapter 3, sub-section (b) shall be amended to state “Government Trespassing shall be defined as the following:”

Section IV: §8 - Government Trespassing shall be reclassed as an A Misdemeanor.

Section V: Section 10, Chapter 3 shall be created in the Criminal Code.

Section VI: Section 10, Chapter 3 of the Criminal Code shall be titled “§10 - Private Trespassing”

Section VII: Section 10, Chapter 3 of the Criminal Code shall state:
"(a) The act of Private Trespassing shall be recognized as an unlawful offense in the State of Firestone

(a1) Private Trespassing shall be the act of entering into any commercial, residential, or industrial property owned by a player with a posted no trespassing sign without authorization from a property manager, or refusing to leave a property or area on a property when instructed to by a property manager.

(a2) For the purposes of this offense, a “property manager” shall be any individual who either directly owns the property themselves, or who is employed by the property owner and granted the power to trespass someone by said owner ahead of time.

(b) This offense shall not apply to any properties defined by Section 8 of this Chapter.

( c ) Law enforcement officers, fire department employees, and Department of Commerce officials (in regards to commercial or industrial properties) may not be barred from entry into any property or section of property under this act when acting in their official capacity as defined by law."

Section VIII: §10 - Private Trespassing shall be a Class B Misdemeanor punishable by 250 seconds in jail when a violator is arrested by law enforcement.

Section IX: This act shall be enforced by all law enforcement agencies with the power to arrest.

Section X: This act shall go into effect immediately upon passing the Constitutionally required processes to do so.
