An Act to Redefine Piracy

AN ACT TO REDEFINE PIRACY


BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: This act shall be known as “An Act to Redefine Piracy”. This act shall go into effect immediately upon completion of the constitutional process required.

SECTION 2: Should any part of this act be declared unconstitutional by any judicial body and declared to be unenforceable, the rest of this act, not so declared unconstitutional and unenforceable, shall remain in full effect.

SECTION 3: The Firestone Criminal Code shall be defined as this.

SECTION 4: Chapter 2, Section 7, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states “Maritime Piracy shall be the act of boarding a vessel and holding the captain and possible crew as hostage.”

SECTION 5: Chapter 2, Section 7, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state “Maritime Piracy shall be the act of boarding a vessel without the approval of the vessel’s owner or designee thereof and/or with the intent of harming the vessels occupants while onboard.
