An Act to Clarify Lawful Cause in Relation to Assault and Battery


IN THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF FIRESTONE

February 12, 2022

Ms. Automationeer (for herself, Mr. iiVortex_RBLX, Mr. DonxId, Mr. L_3ee, Mr. DiazEdmundo, and Mr. ADMIRAL_RICKY) with the support of Mr. Ryan123Superstar introduced the following bill:


A BILL

To clarify lawful cause in relation to Assault and Battery.


         Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. ENACTMENT

    This Bill shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.


SEC 2. SEVERABILITY

    Should any part of this Act be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.


SEC 3. ENFORCEMENT

    This Act shall be implemented by the Criminal Code Revision Act Manager and enforced by all Law Enforcement Officers and Courts of the State of Firestone.


SEC 4. DEFINITIONS

    For the purposes of this Act, the ‘Firestone Criminal Code’, as described by the Criminal Code Revision Act (R), shall be defined as: https://trello.com/b/EGN3OQzQ


SEC 5. AMENDMENTS

    (a) Chapter 2, Section 6, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended.

         (i) Chapter 2, Section 6, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states: “Assault shall be the act of maliciously attempting to injure or apply offensive force on another person without their consent. Assault shall also be the act of maliciously utilising the fear of offensive force upon another person without their consent.”

         (ii) Chapter 2, Section 6, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state: “Assault shall be the act of without lawful cause maliciously attempting to injure or apply offensive force on another person without their consent. Assault shall also be the act of – without lawful cause – maliciously utilising the fear of offensive force upon another person without their consent.”

    (b) Chapter 2, Section 8, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended.

         (i) Chapter 2, Section 8, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states: “Battery shall be the act of maliciously injuring or applying offensive force on another person without their consent.”

         (ii) Chapter 2, Section 8, Subsection a1 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state: “Battery shall be the act of maliciously injuring or applying offensive force on another person, without their consent and without lawful cause.”
