Adding a sub forum in the State Legislature for citizens to propose bill ideas or concepts to their law makers, as well as give opinions on current bills.
You’re supposed to contact a state official for that, it doesn’t really make sense to have a category for that. Use your lobbying skills.
^ Yes, Since I doubt that fellow congressman would look at them often unless you directly DM them ^
That and getting in put from the citizens is basically either screeching after a bill is put on Trello, or applause. It’s like pulling teeth to find a good method to show the citizens what we’re doing, effectively.
You could try just posting a topic in the Firestone Discussion category with a potential poll on it - see my post on the county government for an example of something you could do.
Yeeah
Fair point. But I still feel a specific forum for it would be better. So the main discussion hub doesn’t get clogged.
In addition to this, this is where the advocacy groups will come into play. We mustn’t waste more time that could be spent wisely.
Making a single thread for an idea probably won’t clog it up too much - getting to the point of actually seriously considering legislation is a lot less frequent that just submitting whatever comes to mind. If you are worried about clogging up the category, then I would cut down and consider your plans a little more closely. In response to @Brotix , I would suggest a discord server would be better suited for something like that.
Actually, a better idea would just be making a Politics category, where anything related to the discussion of laws or the legislative branch could be discussed, not just having the State Legislation category with just laws and no discussion. ( @anon54114525 )
I agree.
That’s what Firestone Discussion is for, just everyday Firestone Discussion.
It would be nice to have a dedicated politics category though - not one interspersed with memes and threads about how bad Class 26 apparently is.
Don’t forget to include ratings of different departments and the hate on county governments.
In all sense, I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine here.
We don’t need such a Category, in retrospect Citizens DMing us and asking us about Bills we could make is a lot better.
Right now, a civilian has to dm a house or senate member to have their bill ideas be heard. I feel that if we had a sub category in the Legislative section of the forums for civilians to propose ideas/bills to congressmen, it would help civilians have their voice heard. This section would also allow other civilians to debate over the bills being proposed, and could assist congressmen in choosing whether to vote aye or nay (if the legislation in question that has been proposed gets sponsored and is submitted.)
Tell me what you think about this.
(If it’s a bit hard to read this, I’m tired as hell. Will edit it later when I’m not tired.)
good idea
Gibson, Almost every time you ask a Senator or Rep they will agree and write it ext. But its a good idea
Wow y’all pushing my idea. Much love
