I am a Trooper in the Firestone State Patrol, and I find it necessary for LEOs to have a flashlight with them while on-duty. It has happened to me, sometimes, that a suspect decided to run off in the hills after a Traffic Stop or HRS, and after they get cuffed, there is complete darkness, and as of right now the only source of light is the patrol cruiser and the Taser, which in my opinion should change.
