the K9 dog should be able to take damage the same way as normal players, the dog would have 100 health and if it dies, it dies the same way as normal players and despawns
to get a K9 back, you need to go back to the station and respawn your car

K9 does die and easy to do it From what ive seen itll die within 1 mag from the LEO glock

Off the top of my head dogs can die, they just have a higher health, around 1k orsomething.
