A Joint Resolution to Fight Legislative Spam

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. This resolution would limit the amount of times a piece of legislation can be read during a session for a period of time.

SECTION 2. Legislation may only be read three (3) times within two (2) months. Any legislation having been read more than three (3) times within two (2) months shall be put on hold until the two (2) month period has passed or unless the legislation has been retired upon request of the author.

SECTION 3. The presiding officers, the Speaker of the House for the House of Representatives and the Lt. Governor for the Senate, otherwise known as the President of the Senate, shall be responsible for enforcing this legislation.

SECTION 4. Upon passage, this resolution shall go into effect immediately.

SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
