A Constitutional Amendment to Give Congress Subpoena Power

§1. Title

(a) This constitutional amendment shall be known, and may be cited as, the “A Constitutional Amendment to Give Congress Subpoena Power”.


§2. Enactment

(a) This constitutional amendment shall go into effect upon completing the processes constitutionally required.


§3. Amendment(s)

(a) Article I, section IV, subsection VIII of the Firestone Constitution shall be created and shall state:

“VIII. Congress shall have the power to, in a manner established by an Act of Congress, issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of any individual necessary to its official proceedings. This power may further be delegated by an Act of Congress, including but not limited to allowing the issuance of subpoenas by a chamber of Congress or by a statutorily established congressional committee.”
