A Bill to Rectify Misuse of Emergency Services

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: Chapter 1, Section 6 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended.

SECTION 1A: The Firestone Criminal Code is defined as: Trello

SECTION 2: Chapter 1, Section 6 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall now state the following:

“(a) The act of misusing emergency services shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.

(a1) Misuse of Emergency Services shall be the act of utilizing the 911 system, emergency services request system, paging system, or any other reasonable medium that exists for the purpose of requesting services, and committing one, some, or all of the following forbidden acts:

(a1.1) To report an incident that reasonably does not require transportation assistance, law enforcement response, or emergency response.

(a1.2) To intentionally hinder law enforcement’s capability to perform their duties as prescribed by law.

(a1.3) To request an incorrect or inappropriate service for the nature of the incident.

(a2) Utilizing the emergency services system to report reasonable suspicious activity shall not be construed as a forbidden act of this code.”

SECTION 3: This shall go into effect immediately upon completion of the constitutional process required.

SECTION 4: Should any part of this legislation be declared unconstitutional or otherwise struck down, the rest shall remain in effect unless all is struck down or declared unconstitutional.
