A BILL
to Recognize Spoliation of Evidence and Deem it Illegal
PREAMBLE
To prevent spoliation of evidence it shall be illegal and official recognized in this legislation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1. Spoliation of Evidence shall be deemed illegal.
SECTION 1.A. Spoliation of Evidence shall be defined as: The spoliation of evidence is the intentional, reckless, or negligent withholding, hiding, altering, fabricating, or destroying of evidence relevant to a legal proceeding, administered investigation, or otherwise government concern.
SECTION 2. Spoliation of Evidence shall be classified as a felony offense and shall hold the punishment of three (3) to five (5) hours imprisonment upon conviction.
SECTION 3. The Judicial Branch shall enforce this legislation.
SECTION 4. Upon the passage of this legislation by both the Senate and House of Representatives and subsequently being signed by the Governor, this bill shall be made law and go into effect immediately without any unnecessary delay.
SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
