A Bill to Recognize Event Road Closing

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Preamble: This piece of legislature will ensure that State or County officials can close their respective roads to allow for events.

Section 1: Definitions

Section 1A: Hereinafter the words “A Bill to Recognize Road Closures” shall be defined as https://forums.stateoffirestone.com/t/a-bill-to-recognize-road-closures-fixed/7084

Section 2: Amendments

Section 2A: Section 1A of “A Bill to Recognize Road Closures” currently states:
““Road Closures” Shall be defined as the temporary closure of major city streets, expressways, or rural routes with detours for maintenance, or emergency purposes”

Section 2B: Section 1A of “A Bill to Recognize Road Closures” shall now state:
““Road Closures” Shall be defined as the temporary closure of major city streets, expressways, or rural routes with detours for maintenance, emergency purposes or events

Section 2C: Section 1B of “A Bill to Recognize Road Closures” currently states:
“Maintenance shall be defined as DOT/DPW road works of any kind. (i.e Mass RP, Construcion, Sweeping, etc). Emergency Purposes can be defined as any kind of threat, or emergency or Incident occurring on the said area of the road closure. (I.e MVA, Hostage Situations, Evacuations, etc)”

Section 2D: Section 1B of “A Bill to Recognize Road Closures” shall now state:
“Maintenance shall be defined as DOT/DPW road works of any kind. (i.e Mass RP, Construcion, Sweeping, etc). Emergency Purposes can be defined as any kind of threat, or emergency or Incident occurring on the said area of the road closure. (I.e MVA, Hostage Situations, Evacuations, etc). An event shall be defined as a public or social occasion planned by and/or given the approval by the State Government or County Government.

Section 2E: Section 2B of “A Bill to Recognize Road Closures” shall be created and shall state:
“Road closures for events shall be only issued by the County Executives or Governor of Firestone. The Governor may override any and all road closures issued by County Executives for any reason deemed plausible.

Section 2F: Chapter 8 Section 13 of the “Firestone Traffic Revision Act” shall be created and shall state:
Civilians are exempt from this act if they are attending an event in and are in the designated area. Drivers may not exceed the speed of 30 SPS inside a closed off area for an event.

Section 2G: Chapter 8 Section 4 of the “Firestone Traffic Revision Act” currently states:
“DOT and DPW workers shall be exempt from this Act if they are conducting street maintenance, road closures, or other activities related to their official duties. They must however conduct these activities in a safe manner and may not unnecessarily break traffic laws that aren’t directly for the purposes of maintenance or other road closures.”

Section 2H: Chapter 8 Section 4 of the “Firestone Traffic Revision Act” shall state:
“DOT and DPW workers shall be exempt from this Act if they are conducting street maintenance, road closures, or other activities related to their official duties. They must however conduct these activities in a safe manner and may not unnecessarily break traffic laws that aren’t directly for the purposes of maintenance or other road closures. The speed limit inside a road closure shall be 30 SPS. Vehicles and bicycles exceeding the aforementioned speed limit shall be subject to the fines imposed in § 14

Section 3: This legislation shall go into effect immediately upon passing both chambers and

signed into law by the Governor.
