A Bill to Prevent Criminal Misuse of 911 Services
PREAMBLE: The aim of this legislation is to prevent 911 Services from being used to aid and abet in the commission of a crime or felony.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1: From here within, the ‘Criminal Code’ shall be defined as: [image]Firestone Criminal Code ®
SECTION 2: Chapter 1, Section 10 of the Criminal Code shall be established.
A. Chapter 1, Section 10 shall be entitled ‘Felony Misuse of Emergency Services’
B. Chapter 1, Section 10 shall read: '(a1) The act of Felony Misuse of Emergency Services shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.
(a2) The act of Felony Misuse of Emeregency Services shall be the act of willfully misusing emergency services to aid in the commission of a crime.
(a3) It shall not be a felony misuse of emergency services for a subject to report a felony. It shall only be felony misuse of emergency services if a false crime is reported to distract emergency services from the commission of a crime.’
C. Chapter 1, Section 10 shall be a Class B felony with a jail time of 720.
SECTION 3: Chapter 1, Section 6 of the Criminal Code shall be amended.
A. Chapter 1, Section 6 is currently a Class A Misdemanor with a jail time of 400-900
B. Chapter 1, Section 6 shall be classed as a Class B Misdemanor with a jail time of 400-650.
SECTION 4 : Should any part of this act be declared unconstitutional or otherwise struck down, the rest shall remain in effect, unless all is struck down or declared unconstitutional.
SECTION 5 : This bill shall go into effect upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.
