A bill to make Contempt of County Council a Charge

PREAMBLE
Currently there is no law that tackles the obstruction of an official proceeding of the Stapleton County Council in which there should be.

BY VIRTUE OF THE COUNTY CHARTER OF STAPLETON COUNTY THE COUNCIL HEREBY ESTABLISHES THAT:

SECTION 1.
The Firestone Criminal Code shall be defined as Trello.

SECTION 2.
Chapter 8, Section 3 of the Criminal Code Board shall be created and shall state “§3 - Contempt of County Council”

“Contempt of County Council” shall state the following:

““Contempt of County Council" shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within Stapleton County.

“Contempt of County Council” shall be the act of obstructing the proceedings of the Stapleton County Council as laid out by the floor rules legislation or rules. This shall include disrupting council proceedings or lawful inquiries by the County Council.

Individuals must be convicted in a court of law to be imprisoned for this crime.”

“Contempt of County Council” shall be recognized as a Class A Misdemeanour and shall carry a punishment of 450 seconds within the Firestone Department of Corrections penitentiary.

SECTION 3.
Upon passage of the Stapleton County Council and signature by the County Executive, this bill shall be effective as County law immediately.
