A Bill to Hinder Speed Near Emergency Vehicles

BE IT ENHANCED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS THAT:

Section I: This bill will require motorized vehicles to hinder their speed when approaching a parked on-duty public employee’s vehicle with flashing lights.

Section II A: When passing a stationary on-duty public employee’s vehicle with flashing lights a motorized civilian vehicle is required to slow down.

Section II B: A vehicle must slow down 10 Studs Per Second (SPS) when the posted speed limit is 60 SPS or lower.

Section II C: A vehicle must slow down 20 Studs Per Second (SPS) when the posted speed limit is 70 SPS or higher

Section III: If a suspect is caught breaking this law they can face a citation no more than one hundred seventy-five dollars (175) but no less than seventy-five (75) dollars.

Section IV: This legislation shall be overseen and enforced by all law enforcement agencies within the State of Firestone.

Section V: This legislation shall go into effect immediately after completing the constitutional procedure required.
