A Bill to Fix Vehicle Assault

Be it enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

§1. Title
(a) This act shall be known, and may be cited as, “A Bill to Establish DPS Statute of Limitations”

§2. Enactment
(a) This Bill shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon completing the processes constitutionally required.

§3. Severability
(a) Should any part of this Act be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.

§4. Enforcement
(a) This Act shall be enforced by any relevant parties.

§5. Definitions
(a) The “Firestone Criminal Code” shall be defined here

§6. Amendment
(a) Chapter 3, Section 5 (Vehicular Assault) of the Firestone Criminal Code currently states:

“(a) The act of vehicular assault shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.
(a1) Vehicular assault shall be the act of intentionally (or through clear and extreme disregard for traffic law) utilizing a vehicle to strike a pedestrian, another vehicle, or someone else’s property, without consent from that pedestrian or the owner of that vehicle or property.”

(a1) Chapter 3, Section 5 (Vehicular Assault) of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be amended to state the following:

“(a) The act of vehicular assault shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.
(a1) Vehicular assault shall be the act of utilizing a vehicle to strike a pedestrian, another vehicle, or someone else’s property, in a malicious nature or gross negligence, without consent from that pedestrian or the owner of that vehicle or property.”
