A Bill
to Broaden the Duties of the Firestone Election Committee
PREAMBLE
The Firestone Election Committee has been established for three months but has been benched for multiple elections for public officials in the state. This legislation shall see that the Firestone Election Committee is undoubtedly put to work and shall execute their duties in elections.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1.
(a) The Firestone Election Committee shall be responsible for hosting and general oversight of any and all elections–they [the “FEC”] shall appoint a Chair amongst themselves who shall serve as the overseer of the operations of the committee; the Chair must be a standing member of the committee.
(b) All persons that have the power to initiate an election for any prominent public office must submit a plan of action, notice, and agenda (schedule) to the Firestone Election Committee, whereas the committee will review the aforementioned material and monitor/host the respective election alongside the election sponsor; the committee members shall always remain active and swift or shall face removal.
(c) The Firestone Election Committee, prior to the conclusion of any election, must review the individual votes–only if said election requires a voter to submit a ballot on a Roblox game made known to the committee–all voters are mandated to have a valid citizenship when voting.
(d) The sponsor and committee, before the conclusion of the election, must review the election results of all candidates and gather information about a candidate’s background involving prior felonies, prior misdemeanors, current positions, et cetera–the sponsor and committee shall also be responsible for the review of all votes ensuring no alternate account votes, repeated supports, additional ballots or suspicious connotations have complied in the final result.
(e) The Firestone Election Committee shall reserve the power to initiate revotes for any election subsequently after supermajority (â…”) vote of the committee members and the Chair has informed the public of such revote.
(f) The Firestone Election Committee shall also reserve the power to initiate a recall election (upon the discretional recognition of the public’s petition to the Firestone Election Committee; forty-five (45) signature threshold)–a simple procedure in which voters may eject an elected official before the completion of an elected official’s term in office–requiring supermajority (⅔) vote of the committee members. In a recall election, there must be a supermajority (⅔) vote by all voters to recall an elected official legally.
(g) The Firestone Election Committee may establish additional positions (carrying no legitimate authority nor holding the status of a general committee member) that are voluntary, to suit the needs of the committee (clerk, secretary, et cetera).
SECTION 2.
(a) The Firestone Election Committee shall be tasked with the enforcement of this statute subsequently after being made law.
SECTION 3.
(a) Upon passage of this legislation by both the Senate, the House of Representatives, and subsequently being signed by the Governor, this bill shall be made law and go into effect immediately without unnecessary delay.
