A Bill to Amend the Statute of Limitations

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 1A

(a) Section 1A of A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations currently states, ““Statute of limitations” shall be defined as the set period after a crime(s), infraction(s), or other legal wrongdoing(s) has been committed, after the expiry of which no person shall be prosecuted for or litigated against in a court of law for the offense(s) committed. Once initial court proceedings have begun, the statute of limitations shall cease to apply, including during any appeals that may occur going forward.”

(b) Section 1A of A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations shall be amended to state, ““Statute of limitations” shall be defined as the set period after a crime(s), infraction(s), or other legal wrongdoing(s) has been committed, after the expiry of which no person shall be prosecuted for or litigated against in a court of law for the offense(s) committed. Once the respective civil or criminal compliant has been submitted by the plaintiff/prosecution, the statute of limitations shall cease to apply, including during any appeals that may occur going forward.”

SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 3E

(a) Section 3E of A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations currently states, “For those crimes considered “Crimes Against the Government Order” under Chapter 6 of the Criminal Code, the statute of limitations shall not apply.”

(b) Section 3E of A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations shall be amended to state, “For those crimes considered “Crimes Against the Government Order” under Chapter 6 of the Criminal Code, the statute of limitations shall be considered three hundred and sixty-five (365) days.”

SECTION 3. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 3F

(a) Section 3F of A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations currently states, “For those crimes considered “Courts Only” under the Criminal Code Revision Act, the statute of limitations shall not apply.”

(b) Section 3F of A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations shall be declared null and void.

SECTION 4. DEFINITIONS

(a) “A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations” shall be defined as A Bill to Establish a Statute of Limitations .

SECTION 5. ENACTMENT

(a) This Bill shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon completing the processes constitutionally required.

SECTION 6. SEVERABILITY

(a) Should any part of this act be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.
