Stapleton County Medical Service is very active and we are always looking to hire more members and get training done as soon as possible, after 1 yr+ of SCMS working alongside SCFD we have proven ourselves that there has been no issues between the 2 departments (since we got rid of cameron cray sorry to name drop hun but we know what happened when you were in charge xox) and we have a strong relationship, I think having a 2nd ambulance that is EMT-P equipped would not effect SCFD in anyway and add to RP especially when there is large number of calls. In my opinion DOH and SCFD work out who goes to calls perfectly fine and we split it between us, say SCFD want to fully staff rigs, they can when we are on as there not just 1 person in engine and then 1 in ambo etc.
Basically what Iām saying is add a second DOH ambulance that is ALS because we have proven we are a good department!
Also a lot of SCFD are firefighters and probably dont want to staff an ambulance, ive found that when SCFD has a lot of people on an engine they often have to break it up to staff an ambulance and that could be annoying
